Sustainable Value Generation

ETHICS & COMPLIANCE

At Tradewise Energy, we recognize that sustained value for our stakeholders stems from our unwavering commitment to the highest ethical standards. We foster innovation by building trust and integrity across our entire value chain, from customers and suppliers to investors and communities.

Responsible Sourcing

Tradewise Energy prioritizes the resilience of our supply chain by actively anticipating, mitigating, and managing potential disruptions.

Our Approach

Our Chief Supply Chain Officer oversees cross-functional operations across the entire organization to optimize supply chain processes and enhance traceability. They are responsible for foreseeing and addressing disruptions, as well as improving critical exception-based processes that require immediate team mobilization to meet short-term goals, ensuring the resilience and stability of our supply chain. Our commitment to sustainable supply chain practices is outlined in our Responsible Sourcing Policy.

Supply Chain Center of Excellence

The Supply Chain Center of Excellence is dedicated to building stronger relationships with suppliers while managing risks. Through our policy framework, One Procurement, we integrate ethical, functional, and compliance requirements into our source-to-pay operations. This centralized approach standardizes procurement functions and drives cohesive, responsible sourcing practices across the organization. We ensure our suppliers adhere to socially, legally, and ethically responsible practices, ensuring fair treatment for their employees. Our sourcing activities are governed by our Code of Conduct and the Responsible Sourcing Policy.

Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA)

Supply chain visibility plays a crucial role in meeting our obligations under the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA), which promotes environmentally and socially responsible mining practices. We conduct due diligence on potential business partners that may pose risks in areas such as human rights, safety, environmental practices, corruption, fraud, or antitrust activities.

Code of Conduct for Business Partners

Our Business Partners are vital to our success, and we expect them to uphold the same values that define our business. Our Code of Conduct for Business Partners outlines the standards and ethical expectations for their operations. As a core element of our values, we foster an open culture where employees and stakeholders feel secure in raising concerns. Our Integrity Helpline, operated by an independent service, is available 24/7 in multiple languages, allowing individuals to report issues anonymously via phone, online, or text message.

RESOURCING RAW MATERIALS

At Tradewise Energy, the procurement of raw materials is carefully managed by dedicated procurement teams knowledgeable in conflict mineral regulations. We ensure that all vendors in our system are screened against several denied-party lists, including those related to forced labor, such as the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Forced Labor list. In line with best practices, relevant suppliers are periodically required to complete the Responsible Mining Initiative (RMI) Conflict Minerals Reporting Template to ensure compliance with ethical sourcing standards.

PRODUCT SAFETY

Tradewise Energy's Global Product Stewardship (GPS) team is tasked with ensuring that our products meet all safety requirements when used as intended. The team prepares Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in compliance with the legal requirements of the jurisdictions where our products are sold. These SDS documents provide a comprehensive overview of testing results, product information, and guidelines for safe handling and disposal. Wherever possible, we utilize advanced computer modeling to perform product testing, minimizing the need for animal testing where the law permits.

PRODUCT AND PROCESS INNOVATION

At Tradewise Energy, innovation plays a pivotal role not only in our financial success but also in driving sustainability forward. Our team of R&D scientists and engineers collaborates with external experts from academia, professional institutes, and innovative start-ups. This network ensures we have access to cutting-edge knowledge in specialized areas, enhancing our capacity for innovation. We leverage strategic partnerships and government funding to make focused investments in research and development. These investments are channeled towards projects that support our growth strategy while reinforcing our sustainability objectives. Our approach emphasizes building the right infrastructure, expertise, and training necessary to seize innovation opportunities. We use advanced analytical methods and data science to identify and prioritize initiatives that have the greatest potential to contribute to our mission of sustainability and operational excellence.
