Our Team, Work Environment, and Community

ETHICS & COMPLIANCE

We cultivate a workplace grounded in strong values, where diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental. Our focus is on safety, mutual respect, personal development, and overall wellbeing. By empowering each individual to realize their full potential, we aim to elevate our employees, customers, communities, and our company, creating a foundation for a more sustainable and resilient future for both people and the planet.

At Tradewise Energy, employees undergo rigorous safety training and are encouraged to take proactive measures in preventing workplace-related injuries and illnesses. Each shift begins with management-led "Safety Moments" to set a safety-focused tone.

Tools for Ensuring Safety

To safeguard our employees and achieve zero incidents, we utilize several safety tools, including: SCAN (Survey, Consider, Act, Notify): SCAN is a hazard identification and mitigation tool that trains employees to recognize potential hazards and report them promptly to management for action. Life Saving Rules: Our Life Saving Rules outline the eight most critical safety procedures that must be followed to ensure the protection of everyone in the workplace.

Investment in Talent

At Tradewise Energy, we are committed to cultivating a culture where our people shape the future, build with purpose, and grow together.

Our Approach

Our talent strategy begins with oversight from the Board of Directors, which manages leadership and CEO succession planning. The Board collaborates annually with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to assess and strengthen development initiatives. The Executive Compensation and Talent Development Committee reviews workforce strategies, evaluates executive officers' performance, and monitors the company's progress in attracting and retaining top talent. The ELT ensures that our people strategy aligns with the company’s business goals, fostering organizational growth and capability as we expand.

Projects & Strategies

We offer a broad range of training and development programs tailored to specific roles, including: Leadership and Career Development: Through our Elevate Leaders program, we provide leadership training, mentoring, and hands-on learning projects to solve complex business challenges. Performance Improvement: Our "Leading for Improved Performance" initiative, available in four languages, is aimed at supervisors and managers in global manufacturing. Technical Training: We provide extensive, location-specific technical training to ensure employees have the skills needed for safe, efficient operations. Tradewise Academy: This platform offers professional and leadership development modules and mandatory training in key areas like the Code of Conduct, Cybersecurity, Safety, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I). Learning Resources: Monthly LinkedIn Learning newsletters offer curated content focused on essential competencies such as feedback, coaching, and personal development. Early Talent and Mobility: Our LAUNCH program is a two-year rotational development opportunity for recent graduates, aimed at building early talent. Educational Reimbursement: We offer U.S. employees up to $9,500 annually in educational reimbursement from their first day of employment, supporting continuous learning and growth.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At Tradewise Energy, we are dedicated to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging and support.

Our Approach

We take pride in building and sustaining a workforce that reflects global diversity. We strive to create a values-driven and inclusive environment where employees are encouraged to appreciate and embrace the diverse backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and talents of their colleagues. Our Chief People Officer and Vice President of Culture lead efforts to continuously assess our DE&I strategies, embedding equal opportunity and inclusivity into the core of our business practices.

Projects & Strategies

To promote diversity and inclusion, we partner with organizations that help attract talent from all backgrounds, including: International Women in Mining HBCU Connect Hiring Our Heroes
We offer DE&I programs that foster intercultural understanding and provide opportunities for employees to engage with one another. By evaluating workforce data, we identify areas for enhancing transparency and fostering a deeper sense of belonging. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), called Connect Groups, help integrate DE&I into our company culture. In addition, we use Tealbook, a procurement intelligence platform, to gather up-to-date data on supplier diversity and other sustainability metrics.

Human Rights & Labor Practice

We firmly believe that business thrives in societies where human rights are upheld and respected.

Our Approach

Respect for human rights is at the heart of our values, guiding how we treat our employees, workers in our supply chain, and members of our communities. We recognize the human rights of all our stakeholders as defined in the International Bill of Human Rights and the International Labor Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. We also take responsibility for the impact of our operations on the rights of our stakeholders. The success of Tradewise Energy relies on creating a safe, collaborative, inclusive, and respectful work environment that values the talent, experience, and perspectives of all employees. Our Human Rights Policy and Global Labor Rights Policy provide clear guidance, ensuring our actions support the fundamental principles of human rights, along with promoting safe, ethical, and secure working conditions across our operations, local communities, and supply chains.
